Friday night at the Big Top opened with the soulful and spooky Cathy Davey, followed by a robust and full-blooded performance by Damien Dempsey, and finally Josh Ritter with the Royal City Band whose appearance was met with a deafening roar of appreciation from the Galway crowd.
